Travelling to South Africa
Q: Why hire a car during your visit?A: You have to; it’s as simple as that. Staying in the proximity of each city’s boundaries would simply be a crime given the multitude of truly incredible sights and experiences found within driving distance of each city. If you haven’t driven out into the countryside, seen the coast, taken in some of the Garden Route or been to a nature reserve, you haven’t truly experienced South Africa.
Q: When’s the best time of year?
A: The short answer is anytime. A year-round warm climate is enjoyed in South Africa although there are times of the year that are busier from a tourist’s point of view than others. This busiest period for tourist attractions tends to be during South African school holidays, with Christmas to mid-January being particularly hectic. Mid-September to November and April through to May are ideal times to visit.
