South Africa: what to expect?

The Republic of South Africa is an African southern state, which borders the north by Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana, north-east by Mozambique and Swaziland, with the south Indian Ocean and the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The country has three capitals: Cape Town (legislative), Pretoria (administrative) and Bloemfontein (judicial). The official languages are: Afrikaans, English, Zulu, Xhosa, Swazi, Ndebele, Sesotho, North Sesotho, Tsonga, Tswana and Venda.

South Africa is a great natural park: there are over 20,000 species of plants, representing approximately 20% of all known plants. There are also more than 10 natural parks, including the Kruger and Kgalagadi Transfontier (found in the Kalahari desert) are among the most famous. Besides tourist destinations inside the city, close you can visit the Waterfalls of Augrabies at North Cape, the Cascades of Tugela (the second highest in the world) to Drakensber, and the Garden Route, which extends from Mossel Bay in Port Elizabeth.

The cuisine is rich in meat dishes, and the country has also become an important producer of wine export.
